About Direct Life Advisors

Direct Life Advisors is an independent life insurance agency, not an insurance company.

We help people work out what a life insurance policy actually says, who holds it now, and whether it still does the job it was bought for. Then, if it does not, we help fix that.

Talk to a licensed agent.

No cost to you. We're paid a commission by the insurance company only if you later buy through us — never by you.

Who runs it

Kervenson Joseph, licensed insurance agent, agent number WW886363, licensed in all 50 states. Direct Life Advisors is an independent agency with 52 carrier relationships. That range is the point: it means the answer to your question is not fixed in advance by which company employs us.

Why this site exists

Life insurance is sold by companies that get renamed, bought and occasionally fail, and the policies outlive all three. A policy does not end because the company that wrote it was acquired — but the phone number ends, and the letterhead ends, and the family holding the paperwork has no way to tell whether what they are holding is worth anything. Where a company failed rather than changed hands, what the policy pays can change too, and that is the case worth knowing about before you rely on a number.

We could not find a plain directory of where those policies went, so we built one: every company we could trace, with the source and the date we checked it, and the questions worth asking once you get through.

How we work

We say when the answer is that you do not need us. Plenty of these calls end with us telling someone their existing policy already covers what they are worried about. That is a good outcome and we are not paid for it.

We source what we publish. Every company page names the record it rests on and the date it was checked. Where our trace is uncertain, the page says so.

We do not print other companies' phone numbers. The service number for your own policy is on the policy and on every statement the company sends, and we are not a directory service. What we offer is the part that is hard: knowing which answers matter once you get through.

We do not publish rates on these pages. A premium that is wrong for your age, your state or your health answers is worse than no figure at all. We price it with you on the phone, across several carriers at once.

What we cannot do

We cannot access your policy, change a beneficiary, pay a claim or tell an insurance company what to do. Only the company that issued the policy can do those things. What we can do is read the contract with you, tell you what it says, and tell you who to call.
